AutumnFest begins with our annual Costume Parade!
Open to all children in costume, the parade forms at the gazebo. There, you’ll meet this year’s Grand Marshalls Shrek and Fiona and parade through the grounds, following the beat of bagpiper John Quinn. The parade ends at the Children’s Activities Area with performances, arts and crafts, face painting and more! Wear your costume and join the fun!

Heidi Carpenter – Puppeteer
Heidi will display her wonderful puppets, with many of her creations for sale. She will also set up an area for children to make paper bag puppets, and will bring cardboard stages for kids to put on their own puppet shows!

Young Chef's Academy
Come by the Young Chef’s Academy table and make edible spiders! Suitable for all children (accommodations will be made for those who have peanut allergies). We’re sure you’ll love these deliciously creepy treats.

Tricia Bowers has danced for Avondale for many years (and taught many of our kids). She’s always fun and surprising, so come dance with Tricia!
